Sis Margaret has worked in Childhood Early Intervention for the past 19 years in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. She has also been involved in the Enuresis Consultancy for the last 10 years. She has a Trained Primary Teacher's certificate, Bachelor of Education and Graduate Diploma in Special Education – this includes Early Intervention and specialisation in Intellectual Disability. Further training has included family counselling, behaviour management, augmentative communication (Makaton) and toilet training of pre-school age children.

Margaret has considerable experience with disabled and non-disabled children and adolescents. Her teaching experience has included primary, secondary, special schools and early intervention. Margaret also taught English as a second language in South America for a year and was Principal for the School for the Intellectually Disabled in Fiji for six years.

Sis Margaret is a valuable resource to the Victorian Support Network, making herself available for parenting seminars and one-to-one advice.
